Ajman University’s AYM: Actualizing Youth Mobility to Lead and Innovate in the 21st Century is a collaborative virtual exchange program that fosters intercultural understanding, creative collaborations, and meaningful communication among students.

The program enables students to explore the everyday cultural contexts of their peers from around the world. Innovative themed prompts encourage students to voice their opinions on global concerns, engage in purposeful dialogue with their peers, and propose sustainable solutions to global issues. This stimulates critical thinking, preparing students to successfully lead and innovate in the 21st century.

Activities

Using dialogic classroom strategies, students are placed at the center of their own learning through experiential learning techniques that emphasize on empathy, small group discussions, and global opportunities. Students generate ideas on a range of global topics that they then discuss with their peers in an intercultural exchange. Applying critical thinking strategies to global issues, students are immersed in small group discussions with their international counterparts as well as their instructors. Students will engage in group activities through theme-based projects and will showcase their cumulative work during synchronous sessions and through social media platforms, developing the ability to present creative ideas based on personal and international contexts.
