The Stevens Initiative is excited to announce the 2022 Stevens Initiative Alumni Fellowship, an immersive learning opportunity for young professionals who have completed a Stevens Initiative-funded virtual exchange. Through this fellowship, alumni will develop personally and professionally as global leaders, intercultural communicators, and cross-cultural collaborators while forming long-lasting relationships with their peers and the Initiative. Fourteen alumni were chosen from a highly selective application process, with five fellows from the U.S. and nine fellows from across the MENA region. Fellowship activities will take place throughout 2022 and will include monthly synchronous meetings, asynchronous activities, individual coaching sessions, and will culminate at an in-person summit in Washington D.C. at the beginning of 2023.

Throughout the year, this inaugural group of Fellows will develop leadership skills by exploring practical concepts with real world application to their diverse lives and experiences. The curriculum features opportunities for Fellows to hone the intercultural communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills they developed and built on during their virtual exchange. Programming will also touch on ways to promote virtual exchange in the Fellows’ communities and networks. We hope that this fellowship will result in a network of young people with connections across regions and communities and with the potential to give back to future cohorts of Fellows and other alumni.
