Breakouts is a collection of multimedia projects that capture the most engaging, inspiring, and insightful illustrations of the power of virtual exchange.
Fall 2024 Theme: UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
As we navigate complex global challenges, from climate change to social inequality, the SDGs serve as a roadmap for building a more equitable, sustainable world. Through virtual exchange, we have a unique opportunity to foster cross-cultural understanding, knowledge sharing, and collaboration across borders, all of which are essential for advancing the SDGs. In celebration of SDG Mobilization Day, we’re publishing projects that illuminate the role of virtual exchange in addressing specific SDGs.
Centering Youth Voices: A Path to Achieving the Global Goals by 2023 Webinar
This youth-moderated discussion explores the ways in which virtual exchange empowers rising generations to take action in their communities to address our world’s most pressing issues. Stevens Initiative alumni share how their virtual exchange experience led them to improve the lives of people and the health of the planet, inspiring more participants in virtual exchange so we can bridge the cultural divide to connect humanity. You’ll also hear from various virtual exchange program representatives as they highlight opportunities young people can join and exchange leaders can bring to their communities now.
