Founder, Guard Up Morocco

Jamila Naboulsi is an engineering student, social activist, kickboxing champion, and 2023 Stevens Initiative Alumni Fellow. Jamila wears many hats, each one a testament to her commitment to making a difference in her community. She founded Guard Up Morocco to empower young women through martial arts, promoting discipline, respect, and teamwork. She also launched the Eco Hikers initiative to inspire sustainable practices and protect natural resources. She has organized and facilitated impactful workshops, youth exchanges, and bootcamps that emphasize the transformative power of sports in leadership development. These include projects such as Our Language is Sport in the Czech Republic, Building Grassroots Leaders bootcamp in New York and Tangier, Making Mountain Green Again workshop, Youth Around Borders youth exchange program, and more. Jamila believes that small actions, when done with purpose, can lead to big changes.
