Eurasia Foundation’s Generation 7.0 is an integrated mobile game and social networking platform that will connect young adults from the Middle East and North Africa and the United States.
The Eurasia Foundation will develop a mobile game, Culturama, in which cross-cultural teams will proceed through puzzles and challenges centering on the cultures of the United States and the Middle East. The game will foster collaboration, teamwork, respect for diversity, and shared understanding. Using the mobile application and social media, the game will support ongoing interpersonal communication that will lead to stronger, more positive cross-cultural attitudes. The gaming framework and platform developed during the project will serve as a basis for developing new games and scaling up this exciting approach to virtual exchange.
