United Planet’s Youth2Youth Investing fosters lasting economic development through youth-led entrepreneurship. It enables young individuals from Iraq, Syria, and the United States to address economic challenges and drive change in their communities. Leveraging the principles of investing and the UN SDGs, the program equips youth with the skills and knowledge to become leaders in creating meaningful economic opportunities for themselves and their communities. The program offers participants financial literacy, investing knowledge, networking opportunities, and mentorship.
Activities
Participants in the United Planet Youth2Youth Investing program engage in an array of activities aimed at equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive lasting economic growth through entrepreneurship projects addressing the UN SDGs. Throughout the seven-week program, participants undergo orientation sessions, engage in project-based learning, and attend expert-led colloquium sessions. They gain proficiency in financial literacy, develop a deep understanding of investing principles, and learn to create compelling pitch decks. Participants also benefit from networking opportunities, experience working on challenges faced by enterprises, mentorship from industry leaders, and the possibility of internships. By the end of the program, participants are equipped with enhanced resumes, leadership skills, critical thinking abilities, and a global leadership mindset, ready to address economic challenges in their communities and beyond.
