The COIL Design workshop walks teaching partners through the course development process. At the end of the workshop participants should have a blueprint for Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) collaboration. This workshop covers COIL pedagogy and flow, developing common and course-specific goals, setting expectations for partners and students, logistics, designing COIL activities, assessment, and troubleshooting. Both teaching partners are expected to take the COIL Design workshop at the same time. Participants receive certificates of completion.
