Incorporating global learning opportunities into  curriculum has become a strategic priority in most higher education institutions. There are many different ways to develop this strategy, including virtual exchange. Virtual exchange allows students and staff in geographically distant institutions to collaborate, interact with one another, and learn together. This workshop begins with a brief presentation on virtual exchange and is then followed by practical examples of how different models of virtual exchange have been successfully integrated into global learning strategies. Participants will then be engaged with activities in small groups to discuss possible approaches to integrating virtual exchange in their own institutions.
