Each year, virtual exchange ignites the potential of thousands of young people around the world, helping them grow into global citizens and agents of change. As the Stevens Initiative approaches its tenth year, the role virtual exchange plays in preparing the next generation of leaders remains more critical than ever. In an ongoing effort to reach more young people in 2025 and beyond, the Initiative is launching its fifth Virtual Exchange Academy to mobilize education and exchange leaders in driving virtual exchange adoption in their local communities and networks.
The Virtual Exchange Academy is a six-week training that teaches foundational elements of virtual exchange planning and implementation. Participants get a comprehensive introduction from leaders in the field through pre-session readings and coursework, and during live sessions that include presentations, small group activities, and more. After the training, graduates will be prepared to adopt this powerful tool for connection and collaboration.
The fall 2024 Virtual Exchange Academy will take place once a week from September 18 through October 24, 2024, and will include six live sessions via Zoom.
Applications are due at 4pm U.S. Eastern Time on Friday, July 19, 2024. For more information about eligibility requirements and time commitment, please visit the application here. Questions can be submitted to stevenspartnerships@aspeninstitute.org.
Graduates of the Academy receive a digital badge and certificate, become part of a global community of like-minded alumni, and are eligible for mentorship and funding exclusively available to those who have completed the training.
The Virtual Exchange Academy is supported by the Bezos Family Foundation.
