The University of Nebraska Lincoln (Nebraska) Global Virtual Project fosters cross-cultural engagement between Nebraska and students at partner institutions in Oman, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates, through virtual exchange.
Nebraska creates and implements courses in a variety of disciplines, including computer science; tourism, and hospitality management; creative writing; leadership and communication; sociology; Arabic studies, and journalism to be delivered synchronously and asynchronously for students to experience and enhance global competencies. These virtual exchanges expose all participants to project-based or problem-based learning and create communities of inquiry through transnational dialogues.
